Kuwait stands by Jordan, coordinates with it on regional issues, says envoy

 The Senate's Jordanian-Kuwaiti Brotherhood Committee, chaired by Yousef Jazi, on Tuesday met with Kuwaiti Ambassador in Amman, Aziz Aldehani.

During the meeting, Jazi said that Jordanian-Kuwaiti diplomatic ties, which were established in 1961, are "distinguished," pointing out that the two countries' leaderships saw eye to eye on Arab, regional, and international issues.

He called for boosting bilateral relations on various levels, stating that ties are based on understanding, harmony and moderation.

The Senator noted that Jordan and Kuwait had signed 17 agreements and memoranda of understanding during the Kuwaiti Prime Minister's recent visit to the Kingdom.

The Kuwaiti envoy underlined the close ties, noting that the two countries coordinate on various issues of common interest.

He underscored that Kuwait stands by Jordan and also stressed his country's unwavering support of Arab causes, including the Palestinian issue. 

He also noted that over 4,000 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in Jordanian universities, citing the Kingdom's advanced education level.
