Launching Defense Capacity Building Project for Jordan between National Center for Security and Crises Management (NCSCM) and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)

Defense Capacity Building Project “Enhancing Jordan’s capacity for Crisis Management, Continuity of Government and Exercises" has been launched today in National Center for Security and Crises Management (NCSCM). 

At the project launching event, Brigadier General Adnan Al-Abbadi, Vice Chairman of the NCSCM, and Mr. Khan Jahier NATO Service Manager, declared the kick- off for the project, with an esteemed presence of NATO delegation and NCSCM Directors. 

Initiation of this project represents an important milestone for the NATO-Jordan Defense Capacity Building Package and in the strategic partnership between NATO and Jordan, especially in exchange of Knowledge, and Exchange of Know-How.

The three-year project will assist NCSCM in achieving full operational capability, and will enhance Jordan’s capacity in national resilience, continuity of government and crisis management.

This very launching was amplified after one day only from signing ceremony by Brigadier General Adnan Al-Abbadi, Vice Chairman of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, and NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General Dr. John Manza that took place in NATO HQ/ Brussels, Both parties stressed the importance of NATO’ cooperation with Jordan in its efforts towards institutionalizing national crisis management capabilities. 

Members of NATO were agreed in Jun 2017 to support NCSCM in this project; Contributions by four countries − Netherlands, Germany, Norway, and Turkey − to the NATO Defense Capacity Building Trust Fund made this flagship project possible.
