AMMAN - The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has announced that the 18th round of the Professional League matches will be held without fans, citing public safety concerns due to the current regional climate.
The decision was made on Sunday, according to an official statement.
The round kicked off on Sunday with four matches scheduled simultaneously at 9:45 PM local time.
The Al-Ahli vs. Al-Faisaly match was played at Amman International Stadium, while Shabab Al-Ordon faced Al-Jazeera at King Abdullah II Stadium on Monday.
Al-Baqa'a played against Al-Wehdat at Amman International Stadium on Tuesday. Al-Ramtha and Al-Salt clashed at Al-Hassan Stadium in Irbid on the same day.
The JFA had previously postponed the Al-Sarhan match against league leaders Al-Hussein, initially scheduled for Monday, with a new date to be announced later.
Al-Hussein currently leads the league standings with 37 points, followed closely by Al-Faisaly with 36. Al-Ramtha holds the third position with 34 points, while Al-Wehdat is fourth with 33. Al-Jazeera, Al-Salt, Al-Baqa'a, Shabab Al-Ordon, Al-Ahli, and Al-Sarhan occupy the subsequent positions respectively.
