An authoritative source told Al-Anbat that the brotherly state of Kuwait has fulfilled its commitment to Jordan by the amount of the four-way summit held in Mecca on June 11 that gathered Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordan on the impact of the Kingdom's protests against the draft income law. It committed to grant five hundred million US dollars as help.
The source said that the State of Kuwait has secured the deposit in the Central Bank of Jordan without addressing the number of the amount deposited, pointing at the same time that the Kuwaiti leadership and the people share great relationships with the Kingdom and historical ones.
The source pointed out that Kuwait is in the process of providing more support to the Kingdom and that the coming days will see the best.
The State of Kuwait, under the leadership of His Highness the Prince Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, is one of the most supportive countries in Jordan. Kuwaiti Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh said during a recent visit to Jordan that they will attract more Kuwaiti investments to the Kingdom, providing easy loans, and economic stimulus projects.
The value of Kuwaiti investments in Jordan is estimated at 13 billion US dollars.
