Irbid governorate's exports stand at $130 million
Al-Anbat - The value of Irbid's exports to foreign markets rose by 84 percent in September 2019, compared to the same month last year.
The value of last September's exports $130 million, compared with $70 million for the same period last year, while the certificates of origin issued by the Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI) reached 2077, compared with 1395 certificates in September 2018.
The textiles sector ranked first with $117 million, followed by the construction industry sector, then came the therapeutic industries and medical supplies sector.
Chairman of the ICI, Hani Abu Hassan, said the remarkable growth in exports of the textiles sector was the main drive behind the overall growth, as re-exports to traditional markets relatively resumed.
