Launch of a New Phase of the "Orange Coding Academy"

Launch of a New Phase of the Orange Coding Academy
الأنباط -

Orange Jordan announced on Thursday, in conjunction with World Youth Skills Day, the launch of a new phase of its leading national program, the "Coding Academy”, which aims to digitally empower Jordanian youth and reinforce their economic participation across the Kingdom.

The company declared that this phase of the program will be implemented in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), as the driver for youth outreach. This collaboration will ensure nationwide reach across the Kingdom's governorates and help a larger number of young people gain access to broader economic opportunities.

The three-year program will be carried out at the Orange Digital Center and the CPF offices located across the governorates. It will provide training for 370 youth aged 18-35, with 100 remote spots, with specialized sessions focusing on life skills, entrepreneurship, and employment, as well as intensive technical training in several fields including web development, artificial intelligence, and freelance work, followed by practical training in cooperation with the private sector.

During the signing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Jordan, Eng. Philippe Mansour, affirmed: "We are proud today to launch this national program in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), reflecting our unwavering commitment to supporting and empowering Jordanian youth digitally and economically across the Kingdom. Our cooperation with CPF also highlights our shared vision to prepare a new generation of programmers and entrepreneurs who can compete in the modern labor market, which is undergoing rapid changes led by Artificial Intelligence technologies that are reshaping the work environment. We strongly believe that investing in youth digital skills is a direct investment in the future of Jordan, and we are determined to continue working with our partners to ensure high-quality training and employment opportunities, which focus on practical application while integrating the training with market needs.”

For its part, the Crown Prince Foundation stated that digital empowerment and the development of programming and artificial intelligence-related skills are among the main pillars of its programs, as digital skills are globally recognized as key enablers of youth economic participation, strengthening their competitiveness in the labor market, and opening new opportunities for them.

It is worth noting that this step comes as an extension of Orange Jordan’s ongoing digital empowerment efforts through its programs, including the Coding Academy, which has empowered more than 1200 young women and men since its launch and has enabled 80% of them to secure jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities within six months of graduation. Orange Jordan also invited youth to register for and benefit from the program.
