75 million JD Jordan's trade balance surplus with Qatar last year

The Kingdom's trade balance with Qatar last year achieved a surplus of 75 million dinars.

The volume of bilateral trade between Jordan and Qatar last year reached about 149 million dinars, compared to about 116 million dinars in 2021.

  According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics, the value of national exports to Qatar grew during the past year to reach about 112 million dinars, compared to about 91 million dinars for 2021.

  The Kingdom's imports from Qatar also increased last year to reach about 37 million dinars, compared to 25 million in 2021. 

As for the current year 2023, the value of the Kingdom's exports to Qatar during January of this year amounted to about 8 million dinars, while the value of Jordan's imports from Qatar last January amounted to about 2 million dinars.

According to the data, the volume of trade exchange between the two countries increased in January of this year, reaching about 10 million dinars. 

The Kingdom’s exports to Qatar are concentrated in fresh and processed foodstuffs, of various types of vegetables and fruits, meat, dates of all kinds, cheese and fresh milk, meat and its derivatives, poultry and its derivatives, cereals, sweets, and cakes. All kinds of rice, juices, nuts, oils and margarine, Pickles, herbs, honey, poultry, coffee, and eggs.
