The councils of the Amman Chamber of Commerce and the newly established Syndicate of Traders and Producers of Household Appliances discussed during a joint meeting the issues of interest to the household appliances trade sector, and how to cooperate and coordinate between the two parties to follow them up.

According to a statement by Amman Trade, on Saturday, the head of the chamber, Khalil Haj Tawfik, said that the establishment of unions and associations is a legitimate right of employers for the purpose of organizing their sectors, following up on the issues and difficulties facing them and serving the sector they represent.

He stressed the need for continuous communication by the new syndicate board of directors with the sector they represent to determine the priorities of work, know their needs and problems and work according to systematic plans and mechanisms to address them with the concerned authorities, pointing out the services provided by Amman Trade to the members of the General Assembly and its complementary relationship with employers' unions and associations.

He pointed out that Amman Trade harnesses all its potential to serve the employers' unions and the commercial and service sector in the capital Amman, and that the majority of the members of the unions are members of the General Assembly of the Chamber, and that the Chamber's funds are the money of traders and are spent to serve them.

Al-Haj Tawfik pointed to the opening of the Center for Employers of Labor Bodies inside the headquarters of the Chamber, which provides logistical, technical and administrative services to the heads and members of the councils of trade unions, associations and employers' bodies.

For his part, the head of the syndicate, Firas Habanka, stressed that the establishment of the syndicate came because of the importance of the domestic appliances sector, taking care of the interests of its workers and organizing their work in a way that contributes to supporting the wheel of commercial activity and developing the enablers of trade and investment in the Kingdom.

He explained that the syndicate will be the link between the sector of traders and producers of household items and between the chambers of commerce and official bodies and cooperation with them to solve the problems and obstacles facing workers and in a way that contributes to the provision of goods in the local market with high quality and specifications. Habanka pointed out that the syndicate will work to count the numbers of workers in the domestic materials sector throughout the Kingdom, and invite them to a meeting to introduce its objectives and duties, and listen to their suggestions and issues of interest to their work.

The meeting was attended by Vice President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce Nabil Al-Khatib, Secretary Bahgat Hamdan, Fund Khattab Al-Banna, Board Member Alaa Al-Din Diraniyah, and members of the Board of Directors of the syndicate.
