Avoiding responsibility

{clean_title}

 Al-Anbat - Dr. Mohamed Taleb Obaidat

Procrastination in avoiding participatory responsibility or even escaping it and trying to blame others in order to mix the papers in every incident, dilemma or challenge has become a characteristic and culture of the general community. Unfortunately, this culture spread between individuals and even institutions and sectors so the statements of some officials are looking for hangers to shed blame on others and accuse them of negligence in order to escape accountability or recognition of default:

1. Disclaimer of responsibility inevitably leads to the loss of rights and duties, away from accountabilityو impede achievements and delay the process of construction and development, which some are quick to regret, and therefore it is a disgraceful thing and it is not commendable.

2. Recognition and acknowledgment of mistakes in return is a moral ethical  obligation that makes others respect the official and record it in the balance of his patriotism, courage and self-confidence.

3. Some officials evade accountability for the fear of stepping down and for the fear of accountability, misrepresentation of justice and commissions of inquiry, all of which inevitably leads to the denunciation of them as deficient and evading responsibility.

4. The arguments used by some are sometimes flimsy to justify negligence, regardless of their style, but they are aimed only at self-defense and blame on others. This is the peak of selfishness and distance from participatory work.

5. The responsibility, whether legal, moral, criminal, administrative, or professional, is therefore liable to accountability before the decision-maker, but in the case of tragedy, such as what happened in Zarqa-Ma'en is a must.

6. In the event of disasters and crises such as Zarqa- Ma'en / Dead Sea, the responsibility is shared among many institutions and can not be limited to the weakest link either the school or the organizers of the trip, the adventure management company or the Directorate of Education concerned or even the Ministry of Education, All institutions that directly or indirectly affect the management, establishment, maintenance and operation of the Dead Sea Region, whether in human resources, infrastructure, activities or activities, are all responsible.

7. I wonder why achievements are registered for the administrator in everything but the mistakes are registered on the junior staff? When will we have the courage to admit responsibility in case of default and not to deter and turn it into accusations of the other?

8. We are required to fear God in this homeland and ask and hold every loser or negligent to his duty without injustice, slander or cheating, and in return to reward the creator and put the right man in the right place with the merit method and fair competition.

Honestly, we are being unfair to the Ministry of Education, its officials, its directorates and the school, which sent the students on a trip. If we put it in the circle of doubt and verification alone, regarding the disaster of the Dead Sea,  there are many institutions and officials who have purposely avoided their responsibilities and deliberately avoided the danger from them and their institutions. The responsibility is participatory and solidarity-based, and the government is one, we are waiting for the results of the Investigation of various parties! //
