Iran has escalated attacks targeting energy infrastructure and vital facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain.
Saudi air defenses intercepted two drones targeting the Ras Tanura refinery in the east of the country. An additional five drones were intercepted and destroyed near Prince Sultan Air Base.
In Qatar, two energy facilities were targeted by drones; however, no casualties were reported. Two Iranian SU-24 warplanes were shot down.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed regional developments by telephone. Modi expressed his country's rejection of the blatant Iranian attacks on the Kingdom.
Crown Prince Mohammed also received a call from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both sides expressed concern about the potential expansion of the conflict and its possible severe consequences, according to the Russian Presidency.
