KHCF and Jordan Kuwait Bank Sign Strategic Agreement

In the presence of HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), KHCF and Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) signed a two-year strategic partnership agreement in support of KHCF’s mission to fight cancer.

The agreement was signed by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Chief Executive Officer and Director General of KHCF, and Mr. Haethum Al Buttikhi, Group Chief Executive Officer of JKB, in the presence of Dr. Asem Mansour, Chief Executive Officer and Director General of KHCC.

Mrs. Qatamish expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the Bank for its continued support, saying: "Our partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank enables us to strengthen our mission of providing comprehensive care to patients at the King Hussein Cancer Center. This care goes beyond the medical aspect to also include academic and psychological support, allowing our patients to continue their education and pursue their dreams despite the challenges posed by the disease”.

Mr. Al Buttikhi stated: "At Jordan Kuwait Bank, we believe in the importance of partnerships that create a sustainable and comprehensive impact in society. Our collaboration with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation reflects this commitment through supporting several programs, in addition to empowering patients educationally. Through these initiatives, we aim to make a tangible difference in patients’ lives and enhance their ability to face challenges with confidence and hope”.

Under the agreement, JKB renewed its support for the University Scholarship Fund established in its name in 2022, which covers university education costs for Tawjihi graduates treated at KHCC. The agreement also includes supporting awareness efforts for the early detection of colorectal cancer, a partial contribution towards a mammography device for early detection of breast cancer, and sponsorship of the Hope Benefit 2027.

The scholarship program targets patients at the Center who require financial support to continue their university education or vocational training. It falls within the comprehensive care approach that includes providing psychological, academic, and social support to patients as an essential part of their treatment journey.
