Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to Feature 'Zero-Peeking' Privacy Screen

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 'Zero-peeking privacy' screen, branded as Privacy Screen, designed to prevent onlookers from viewing sensitive information, the company has revealed.

The technology automatically obscures the screen's content when viewed from an angle, rendering it completely black to anyone not looking directly at it. The user, however, can view the content clearly without any impact on the user experience.

The feature protects sensitive information such as passcodes, two-factor authentication codes, bank account details, and personal identification numbers.

The announcement comes amid rising concerns about phone theft after users are observed entering passwords in public places.

Samsung has indicated that the Privacy Screen feature will be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra at launch.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a 1440 x 3120 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Armor 2.

It is also expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with a 3nm manufacturing process, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB UFS 4.0.

The phone's camera system is rumored to include a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 10-megapixel zoom lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope lens, along with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

The battery is expected to have a 5000mAh capacity, supporting 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

The official unveiling of the device is anticipated during the Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+.

With the 'Zero-peeking' feature, Samsung appears to be prioritizing privacy as a key differentiator for its flagship phone.
