The Turkish ambassador expresses his appreciation for Jordan's support for his country after the earthquake

‏The Turkish Ambassador to Amman, Ardam Ozan, expressed his appreciation for the Jordanian efforts at all levels in helping the Turkish people after the earthquake that recently struck Turkey.

‏This came during a breakfast party held by the embassy on Friday evening, in cooperation with the Knowledge Endowment Foundation, the Turkish Cultural Institute Yunus Emre and the Cooperation and Coordination Agency "TIKA", under the title "Faithful Breakfast", in appreciation of the Kingdom's standing by Turkey after the earthquake.

‏He said, "We appreciate Jordan's rapid move, state and people, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, whether in delivering aid or in showing exceptional solidarity with the Turkish people."

‏He stressed that the Turkish Republic and the Turkish people will not forget those who stood by them in those difficult times, and we believe that the unwavering friendship between Turkey and Jordan will continue forever.

‏The Secretary-General of the Hashemite Charity Organization, Hussein Al-Shibli, said, "We are in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and since the first day of the disaster, the royal directives of the government, the armed forces, public security, and all competent authorities have been to provide everything that is possible for the brothers in Turkey."

‏He stressed the depth and strength of the relations between Jordan and Turkey at various levels and the development it is witnessing.

The breakfast was attended by the search and rescue team of the Jordanian Public Security, the Secretary General of the Hashemite Charity Organization and officers of the Royal Air Force.

‏At the end of the breakfast ceremony, Ambassador Ozan and representatives of Turkish institutions honored the Jordanian international search and rescue team, the Hashemite Charity Organization, the Royal Air Force and the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to the Kingdom, Dominique Bartch.

‏It is noteworthy that the total aid that Jordan sent to Turkey and Syria amounted to 13 planes, 82 relief trucks and 10 ambulances, in addition to an air bridge to transport 10,000 tents after the violent earthquakes that struck Turkey and northern Syria on February 6.
