40 incubators for the "digital economy", of which only 16 operate

The head of the media unit at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship said that 40 incubators affiliated with the ministry, including 16 incubators

We seek to increase it continuously and have cooperation with the private sector by giving courses to employees of those companies to contribute to increasing the skills of their employees. 

She indicated that the ministry launched the national business incubator program in 2019, where 46 knowledge stations were converted into business incubators in all governorates of the Kingdom, i.e. an average of 3-4 business incubators in each governorate with the aim of supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs and providing an opportunity for young entrepreneurs.

She indicated that the private sector responded to the opportunity to enhance cooperation and partnership between the public and private sectors by sponsoring 16 business incubators by various parties, such as the Engineers Syndicate, Orange companies, I Learn and Achieve, and the Innovators Association. The cooperation between these companies and institutions achieved positive results.

The official of the information unit in the ministry indicated that the ministry will soon launch bids for the establishment of two business incubators in the North and South regions, and there is a tendency to establish three incubators in the three regions of the Kingdom, North, Central and South. All provinces.

She pointed out that the incubators' benefits will be provided to help speed up business, so that these centers will be incubators and accelerating businesses at the same time.

She pointed out that the ministry provided the public and private sectors and the competent authorities in the leadership sector the opportunity to participate and learn about the digital skills of local community institutions, including universities and banks, to contribute to sponsoring business incubators by providing the opportunity for 46 incubators to provide their services in various governorates.
