Jordan's national basketball team has departed for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to begin an overseas training camp in preparation for crucial Asian qualifying matches against Iran and Iraq.

The team's training program is designed to elevate the players' technical and physical readiness ahead of the upcoming games, which are part of the second window of the Asian Qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup.

The Jordanian squad will engage in two friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and the UAE. These games will allow the coaching staff to evaluate player performance, test tactical approaches, and fine-tune the team's strategies.

Following the training camp, the team will travel to Beirut on February 24, where they will face Iran and Iraq at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex.

The Jordanian federation has emphasized that this preparatory phase is pivotal for the national team. The federation is committed to providing optimal technical and administrative conditions to ensure continued positive results and strengthen Jordanian basketball on the continental stage.

The delegation includes head coach Roy Rana, coach Makoto Mamiya, assistant coaches Naif Assfour and Fadi Yaghmour, video coordinator Raed Ghosheh, fitness coach Ahmad Samir, physical therapist Anas Jarajreh, team manager Mohammad Al-Dabbas, and administrator Abd al-Hadi Salameh.

The player roster features Ahmad Hamarsheh, Mohammad Shaher, Hashem Abbas, Fadi Mustafa, Mahmoud Al-Hzaimeh, Yazan Al-Taweel, Abdullah Olajuwon, Youssef Abu Wazaneh, Malek Kanaan, Youssef Al-Duwaik, Akef Al-Shiyab, and Fadi Qarmash. Center Ahmed Al-Dwairi, who plays for Turk Telekom, will join the team in Dubai. Naturalized player Galen Harris will also join the squad from his team, New Taipei Kings.
