AMMAN - Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have commenced a two-day visit to Jordan focused on humanitarian support for communities affected by conflict and displacement.
The couple's itinerary includes meetings with aid organizations and visits to facilities assisting refugees, with a particular emphasis on healthcare initiatives.
The UNHCR expressed its honor in welcoming the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to the Zaatari refugee camp, according to a post on X.
During their visit to the camp, Prince Harry and Meghan engaged with young refugees at a youth center, participating in activities such as soccer, art, and music.
The Duke and Duchess also participated in a meeting with representatives from donor countries to the World Health Organization, UN partners, and officials to discuss the provision of health services to both Jordanian citizens and refugees.
In addition, they visited a private hospital in Amman to check on children who had been evacuated from Gaza to receive medical care.
Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the United States with their two children.
