AMMAN - Jordan is experiencing a drop in temperatures and increased wind speeds, with a weak low-pressure system extending from northeast Syria bringing unsettled weather conditions across the Kingdom.

The Jordan Meteorological Department cautioned of reduced visibility due to dust, especially in desert areas and on highways. Drivers are urged to exercise caution due to the risk of skidding on wet roads and strong winds.

The weather is expected to be cold and partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered showers in the northern regions, potentially extending to parts of the central and southwestern areas. Winds will be active from the west, ranging from 40 to 50 km/h, with strong gusts exceeding 60 km/h, stirring up dust, particularly in the Badia regions.

Nighttime will remain generally cloudy and cold, with a chance of light rain in various parts of the country. Winds will be active from the northwest.

Friday will see cold weather in most areas and mild temperatures in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Light, limited showers are expected in parts of the central and southwestern regions in the morning, potentially turning into freezing rain over the high southern mountain peaks.

Saturday will remain cold in most areas and mild in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some cloud cover. Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly, moderate in speed.

Sunday will bring a slight increase in temperatures, with relatively cold weather in most areas and mild conditions in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Clouds will appear at different altitudes, and winds will be northeasterly, turning northwesterly in the evening.
