Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced on Monday that it had attacked an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming the vessel was linked to the United States. The attack occurred on the third day of alleged U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran.
According to the Guard, the oil tanker, named 'Aethra Nova', which it described as affiliated with the U.S., remains ablaze in the Strait of Hormuz after being struck by two drones.
On Saturday, the Revolutionary Guard asserted that the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for oil and gas shipments, was unsafe due to U.S. and Israeli actions and had been closed.
