Apple Considers Deep Red for Next iPhone Amid Color Strategy Shift

Apple is reportedly considering a deep red color option for its upcoming iPhone, potentially signaling a shift in its color strategy following the success of previous models.

The decision to explore this bold color choice stems from the positive reception of the orange iPhone, particularly in markets like China, according to a Bloomberg report. The orange hue was so popular that it drew comparisons to the iconic orange shade used by fashion house Hermès.

While it remains unclear whether Apple will offer the deep red as an addition to the existing color palette or as a replacement for the orange, the move suggests Apple is keen to capitalize on the appeal of striking color variations.

Earlier considerations included brown or purple shades, but these may have been experimental variations of the red being explored, Bloomberg reported.

In a related development, Apple Insider reports that the company's anticipated foldable phone may feature more subdued, classic colors like gray, black, or silver, potentially limiting the color options to just two.

This wouldn't be the first time Apple has released a red iPhone. Previous red models were part of the (PRODUCT)RED initiative in partnership with the Red Cross, featuring a brighter, more vibrant red, according to 9to5Mac.

Aside from the potential new color, Apple Insider suggests that the next iPhone generation will retain a similar design to its predecessor, citing the widespread success of the previous model as a reason for maintaining the current aesthetic.
