Jordan Receives Support After Iranian Attacks, Reaffirms De-escalation Efforts

Jordan has received expressions of support from several friendly nations following recent attacks, as the Kingdom's top diplomat reiterated calls for de-escalation and diplomatic solutions.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi received calls and messages on Sunday from foreign ministers of several countries. They affirmed their absolute solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of Iranian attacks on its territory and their support for Jordan in all measures it takes to protect the safety of its citizens, its security, and its stability.

Safadi and his counterparts discussed the repercussions of the dangerous escalation in the region. Safadi affirmed Jordan's steadfast position in working for security and stability and adopting diplomacy and dialogue to achieve this and reduce escalation.

Safadi also renewed Jordan's condemnation of the attacks on its territory and on sisterly Arab countries, describing them as a dangerous and unjustified escalation and a violation of state sovereignty.

Safadi thanked his counterparts, the foreign ministers of Australia, Uzbekistan, Portugal, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Singapore, and Canada, for their solidarity with the Kingdom and affirmed with them the continued work for security and stability in the region.
