AMMAN - Jordan has summoned the Iranian charge d'affaires to lodge a strong protest over attacks targeting its territory and other Arab nations, Jordan's Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry conveyed Amman's condemnation of the attacks as a blatant violation of sovereignty and a breach of international law, according to a statement from ministry spokesperson Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali.

The message delivered to the Iranian diplomat emphasized the need for an immediate cessation of attacks that threaten the safety of citizens and regional stability.

Al-Majali stated Jordan demanded that Iran respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, while adhering to international law and principles of good neighborliness.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry firmly asserted that the Kingdom will take all necessary measures to protect its citizens, security, and sovereignty.
