Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has called for an immediate cessation of bloodshed in Iran and the broader Middle East, pledging to exert every effort to achieve a ceasefire.

Erdogan's appeal comes amidst escalating tensions in the region.

Speaking at a fast-breaking dinner attended by members of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Ankara, Erdogan stated, "We are for peace. We want an end to the bloodshed, an end to the tears. We want our region to finally enjoy the lasting peace it has long yearned for."

Erdogan also conveyed his condolences to the Iranian people, expressing his solidarity with their pain and sorrow over the suffering of civilians and innocent children affected by the conflict.

"We do not want conflict or war with our neighbors during the holy month of Ramadan," Erdogan added, describing recent attacks as "illegal."

The Turkish President emphasized his commitment to de-escalation through diplomacy. "We will intensify our diplomatic contacts at all levels until a ceasefire is reached and peace returns to our region," he affirmed.
