Jordan Keeps Airspace Open Amid Regional Disruptions

Jordan's airspace remains open and operational despite regional disruptions, according to the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC). Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation.

Yesterday, Jordanian airspace saw over 140 flights, representing 56% of normal traffic, CARC Chief Commissioner, Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, stated. The decrease is mainly attributed to the closure of airspace in neighboring countries.

Queen Alia International Airport handled approximately 120 arriving and departing flights, about 60% of its regular activity. This reduction is due to some foreign airlines temporarily suspending or canceling flights to the region.

The CARC is committed to protecting passenger rights and ensuring they receive necessary care, Al-Farajat emphasized. Passengers affected by flight cancellations should request alternative flights directly from the airlines, a right guaranteed by regulations published on the CARC's official website.

If airlines fail to respond adequately, passengers are urged to file formal complaints through the CARC website (www.carc.gov.jo) or via the hotline at +962799522502.
