A drone strike ignited a fire at a fuel depot in Abu Dhabi, authorities reported, amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region.
The blaze, which erupted following the drone attack on the fuel tank facility, was quickly brought under control, according to a statement released by the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office.
“Competent authorities dealt today with a fire that broke out as a result of targeting a fuel tank station in Musaffah by a drone,” the statement said. "The situation was immediately contained, without causing any casualties or affecting the workflow.”
The incident occurs against a backdrop of heightened regional security concerns and increasing attacks in the region.
