Samsung's upcoming 'Privacy Screen' feature, expected to debut on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is reportedly generating significant interest among rival Android phone manufacturers.

New leaks suggest that other leading Android phone brands may soon incorporate similar technology into their flagship devices, potentially as early as September.

The 'Privacy Screen,' initially unveiled in 2024, is designed to limit the screen's viewing angle, rendering the display unreadable to those nearby. Samsung indicated the technology adjusts the viewing angle of the screen so that it is not visible to the person next to you.

According to leaks, the feature functions by scattering light through "gates" when an electrical voltage is applied to specific sections of the panel.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the technology and its functionality alongside the Galaxy S26 series launch, anticipated around February 25th.

Now, new leaks suggest that other Android phone manufacturers are planning to implement similar display technologies in their flagship phones starting in September, aiming to offer a hardware-level privacy screen comparable to the Galaxy S26 Ultra's offering.

Given the timeline, and reports that this technology will be targeted towards local Chinese brands, Xiaomi is likely to be among the first to adopt the feature, with other companies like Honor, Oppo, and OnePlus potentially following suit.
