Israeli Forces Detain Over 30 Palestinians in West Bank Raids

Israeli forces detained more than 30 Palestinians, including women and former prisoners, in a series of raids across the West Bank, according to Palestinian media reports.

The overnight and early morning operations targeted multiple locations, resulting in the apprehension of individuals from various towns and villages.

In Hebron, those detained include Fadia al-Sharbati, also known as “Um Khaldoun,” Mahmoud al-Qawasmeh, Karam al-Oweiwi, and freed prisoner Asid Nasim al-Tartouri from the al-Fawar refugee camp, as well as Abdullah Akram al-Natsha.

Abeer Mahmoud, a freed prisoner from Saida, north of Tulkarm, was re-arrested in Ramallah. She had previously been released in the Shalit prisoner exchange deal.

Several youths were also detained following raids in Deir Abu Mashal, near Ramallah. They were identified as Adam Muhannad, Kamal Odeh Assaf, Hamza al-Mahdi, and Ahmed Ayser al-Barghouti from Aboud village.

In Beit Amin, south of Qalqilya, three sons of Abdel Salam Amar, a former prisoner released in the Tufan al-Ahrar deal and deported to Egypt, were arrested after Israeli forces stormed their family home.

Other arrests include Sheikh Samer Ali Shawahneh and Yassin Mohsen Sakr from Kafr Thulth, southeast of Qalqilya, as well as former prisoners Alaa Sadiq Omar, Jamil Ali Omar, Mamdouh Ghaleb Bari, Ahmed Ismail Zarai, Islam Younis, Muhannad Thayer Younis, and Abdel Fattah Younis, all from Sinniria.

Amir Oweis was detained from Askar, east of Nablus, and Mahmoud Silawi was arrested from Faqqua, near Jenin.

In Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrested Hussam Sidr, an employee of the Islamic Waqf in the Reconstruction Department of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and extended his detention until Thursday.

Political activist Tamer Ali Khalifa was arrested from Umm al-Fahm after Israeli forces raided his home in the Al-Ayoun area.

Alaa Eskakieh was detained during a raid on the Dheisheh refugee camp, south of Bethlehem.
