FUJAIRAH, United Arab Emirates, Authorities in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, extinguished a fire on Tuesday morning in an industrial zone after debris fell following the interception of a drone, local authorities said, amid heightened tensions in the Gulf.
The fire broke out in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), according to a statement from the Fujairah government's media office.
The statement attributed the incident to the “successful interception by air defenses of a drone,” adding that no injuries were reported.
Authorities confirmed that the fire was brought under control, and normal operations have resumed in the area.
