GENEVA - At least 30,000 people have been displaced in Lebanon due to Israeli strikes, particularly in the southern region, the United Nations said on Tuesday.

The displaced have sought refuge in collective shelters, while many others have been forced to sleep in their cars along roadsides, according to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

Speaking at a press briefing in Geneva, UNHCR spokesperson Babar Baloch stated that conservative estimates indicate approximately 30,000 individuals have been accommodated and registered in collective shelters as of Monday. He added that a considerably larger number have spent nights in their vehicles on the sides of roads.
