Today, Thursday, the Food and Drug General Authority launched 10 new electronic services through a unified integrated digital platform, starting from submitting the transaction, ending with obtaining approval, within the licenses and prior approvals project. 

The Director General of the Corporation, Nizar Muhaidat, indicated, in a press statement, that the newly developed electronic services include the service of approval of food contact material certificate (food item), the import of materials intended for food contact, the service of importing raw materials intended for contact with food, and the issuance of health certificates for export purposes. And technical consultations, and the issuance of a free sale certificate, the import and circulation of secondary food additives, the import and circulation of food additives, the issuance of a free sale certificate for medicines, and the service of issuing a good manufacturing certificate.

He stressed that work is underway to automate all services provided by the institution, within its electronic transformation plan, which puts into action the royal directives on the need to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of government services provided to citizens.

He pointed out that the project of licenses and prior approvals is concerned with creating a digital platform for pre -approval related to import, export and transit, with the support of the United Nations Development Program, under the umbrella of government agencies related to joint trade in the project, which is the Customs Department, the Food and Drug Corporation, the Standards and Metrology Corporation, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture In order to simplify achievement.
