JCDC is Discussing with an American Delegation a Project for Communicable Disease Monitoring System

Jordan Centre for Disease Control discussed with a delegation representing the University of California, the International Center for Informatics in East Africa and the American Foundation for Civil Research and Development, the results of the national project to survey and evaluate communicable disease monitoring systems. 

The director of the center, Dr. Raeda Al-Qutb, said in a statement on Tuesday, that the project, which is being implemented by the center with the participation of about 40 institutions, aims to reach a unified and integrated reference for monitoring and monitoring communicable diseases in the Kingdom, and to coordinate and integrate national efforts to build a national reference for monitoring communicable diseases. 

She explained that work is underway in coordination with the relevant ministries to provide the center with the required data to enable it to achieve its goals and to carry out the tasks entrusted to it through electronic linkage with various entities in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. 

The meeting also discussed the support required to build national capacities in the field of work of the center, and raise the efficiency of workers in data science, statistical analysis, and methodologies for analyzing big data through specialized projects in this field.

Al-Qutub pointed out the importance of the required coordination in all fields and cooperation with partner institutions to maximize the benefit and to ensure the continuity of the efforts made in this field.
