Social Security reveals the numbers of insured and retirees

The Public Institution of Social Security was annouced in press release issued by media center that the number of the active participnts under the Social Security reached one million and 490,000 participants.

The Institution clarify that the Social Security Law No (26) of 2009 set the ceiling of wage subject to deductions at 5,000 JD, then came the temporary social security law No (7) of 2010, to set a ceiling on the deductible wage for new subscribers not more than five times the average deductible wages in a previous year, in accordance with the Social Security Law No (1 ) of 2014, the ceiling of the deductible wage was set at (3) thousand dinars linked to the annual inflation rate.

The institution also provides in its statement that the ceiling of wage subject to deductions after linking it to the inflation rate annually in 2022 reaches (3394) JD.

The institution mentioned that the number of retirees reached to (295,000), and the highest pension amounted to(13842) JD, it explained that the number of retirees whose exceed pension (5,000) JD reached  to (255) retirees, while the retirees whose exceed pension (10,000) JD reached to (22) retirees.
