Al-Safadi participates in the Rome Conference of Mediterranean Dialogues

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs Ayman Alsafadi participated on Friday in the opening of the eighth session of the Rome Conference on Mediterranean Dialogues, which was opened by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Italian Institute for International Political Studies, with the participation of representatives of 58 states.

During the opening session, Italy's Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tiani, valued Jordan's role in maintaining security and stability in the region and stability in the region and its great commitment to hosting refugees.

 It commended Jordan's pioneering role in efforts to achieve a just solution to the Palestinian question on the basis of the two-state solution and sought to bring the parties back to the table of dialogue in order to reach serious and effective negotiations, while emphasizing the important role of Hashemite trusteeship in Jerasalem.

Alsafadi participated as a speaker, along with the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tiani, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Algerian National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hussam Zaki, member of the Quartet of Tunisia's National Dialogue, and Wedad Bushmari, at the main interactive session of the eighth session of the Rome Conference of the Mediterranean Dialogues, entitled "Reshaping the International System After the Ukrainian Crisis,"

It is noteworthy that the Rome Conference for Mediterranean Dialogues, which began in 2015, is held annually to discuss regional and international issues and the challenges that concern the countries of the Mediterranean basin.
