The increase in the population of Jordan more than a quarter of a million people in one year

The population clock of the Department of Statistics revealed that the population of Jordan increased by about 280 thousand people within one year.

According to the hourly data, the population of Jordan, on Wednesday morning, reached 11,282,431 people, which is an increase of more than a quarter of a million people in just one year.

And Jordan, in early October 2021, exceeded the barrier of 11 million people, that is, 13 and a half months ago.

Data and figures indicate that the monthly rate of population increase in Jordan is about 21 thousand people.

According to the department's figures, the unemployment rate among Jordanians reached 22.6 percent in the second quarter of this year 2022.

Jordan ranks 89th in terms of population in the world.

It is noteworthy that the population is the basis for calculating most of the social and economic indicators, health, education and other various fields.
