One child dead, two people injured in Aqaba house fire

Alanbatnews - A child died of his third-degree burns and two other people suffered shortness of breath on Monday when a fire broke out in a ground floor house in the Shallala district in Aqaba, the Civil Defense Department's (CDD) media office said.

It added in a statement that its firefighters managed to put out the fire, which erupted in one room, and prevented it from spreading to the rest of the house.

"The CDD rescue teams administered first aid to the injured, one of which was listed in serious condition, before transferring them along with the deceased to the Prince Hashem Military Hospital," the statement added.
