The United Kingdom has implemented a revised visa application process for Jordanian citizens, designed to enhance security and streamline travel, according to the British Ambassador in Amman.
The updated procedures, effective immediately, require all applicants to create a personal account on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) platform after receiving their application reference number.
Upon approval, travelers must log in to their account to generate a “Share Code” each time they plan to travel to the UK, a mandatory step according to the British Embassy.
Furthermore, the traditional visa sticker will no longer be affixed to passports, allowing Jordanian citizens to retain possession of their travel documents throughout the application process.
The British Ambassador stated that this eliminates the need to surrender passports to visa application centers, facilitating easier travel planning.
While the application process remains online, these changes aim to bolster security measures for both travelers and UK authorities.
