Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted that the collapse of the current regime in Tehran is approaching. He stated that the day is nearing when the Iranian people will liberate themselves from tyranny.
Netanyahu made these remarks during a visit to the site of an Iranian missile attack near Jerusalem, which resulted in casualties. He emphasized Israel's commitment to creating conditions that would enable the Iranian people to overthrow what he described as oppressive rule.
"We launched this campaign to thwart any attempt to revive existential threats. We are also committed to creating the conditions that will enable the brave Iranian people to get rid of the yoke of tyranny," Netanyahu said.
"That day is approaching, and when it comes, Israel and the United States will stand by the Iranian people. The matter rests with them," Netanyahu added. He did not elaborate on the specifics of how Israel and the United States would support the Iranian people.
Netanyahu's comments reflect a long-standing policy of Israel to counter Iran's nuclear ambitions and regional influence. The Israeli government views Iran as a major threat and has repeatedly called for international action to curb its activities.
