Jordan's government is open to considering any proposals aimed at improving the draft social security law, officials said, underscoring the administration's commitment to citizen welfare.

During a cabinet session, Prime Minister, Jaafar Hassan, emphasized the paramount importance of safeguarding citizens' rights comprehensively. He noted that amendments to the draft social security law stemmed from consultations with parliamentary blocs and consideration of feedback received from experts and citizens through official channels, in addition to input from members of parliament.

Hassan affirmed the government's willingness to consider any suggestions to refine the draft law through parliamentary committees and members. He stressed full cooperation with the parliament and its committees to achieve the fundamental objective of protecting social security subscribers and safeguarding its investments and profits.

The goal is to rely exclusively on subscription income to establish a solid foundation for future pensions and ensure their sustainability.

Furthermore, the draft law will maintain measures to strengthen the governance and restructuring of the Social Security Corporation, aligning it with the model of the Central Bank of Jordan in terms of independence in decision-making.
