Irbid, Jordan - Jordan's Ministry of Social Development hosted a Ramadan iftar on Tuesday for beneficiaries of Dar Al Hanan and the Mutmaina Center in Irbid, underscoring the ministry's commitment to supporting vulnerable populations during the holy month.

The iftar, part of the ministry's broader Ramadan program, provided a family-like atmosphere for the girls, bringing together caregivers, supervisors, ministry officials, judges, and representatives from the voluntary sector.

The event included religious segments presented by residents of Dar Al Hanan, as well as competitions and the distribution of gifts.

Dar Al Hanan provides care and rehabilitation services to orphaned girls and those without family support. Its programs focus on healthy upbringing, meeting basic needs, and addressing psychological, social, behavioral, and educational aspects, with the goal of social reintegration.

The Mutmaina Center, recently established in Al-Wastiya District of Irbid Governorate, is the first of its kind in Jordan and the region. It offers specialized care to girls requiring specific psychological, counseling, and rehabilitative interventions through individual and group therapy programs, as well as diagnostic and evaluation services, in partnership with the Princess Taghrid Foundation for Development and Training and the Stirling Foundation.
