The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Sunday the destruction of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's command headquarters in recent U.S.-Israeli strikes.
According to a statement released on X, CENTCOM asserted that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has been responsible for the deaths of over a thousand Americans in the past 47 years.
The statement further claimed that a large-scale U.S. attack had effectively decapitated the organization, emphasizing the strength of the American military and the elimination of the Revolutionary Guard's command structure.
These developments follow reports of a direct military confrontation between the United States, Israel, and Iran, marked by extensive aerial strikes. The stated objective of these strikes was to dismantle Iran's military capabilities.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump declared Saturday evening that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been killed in the strikes, though there has been no confirmation from Tehran.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump described Khamenei as "one of the most evil people in history," asserting that his death represented "justice for the people of Iran, for Americans, and for victims in several countries."
Trump added that Khamenei "could not escape advanced intelligence and tracking systems," noting that the operation was carried out "in close coordination with Israel" and that other leaders were "killed with him," without providing additional details.
