Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that American casualties were anticipated in the ongoing military operation. He suggested that the conflict would ultimately yield a significant positive outcome.
Speaking to NBC News shortly after the Pentagon announced the deaths, Trump acknowledged the losses. "We have three (dead). But we expect human losses. However, in the end, the result will be great for the world," he said.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported earlier on Sunday that three American soldiers were killed and five others seriously injured during the military operation. This marks the first announcement of American casualties in the operation.
CENTCOM's statement, released via X, provided no further details regarding the identities or locations of the soldiers involved.
