AMMAN - Jordan's Minister of Education, Azmi Mahafzah, has lauded teachers as the cornerstone of the educational process, recognizing their pivotal role in national development and the cultivation of future generations.
In a message commemorating Arab Teacher's Day, observed annually on February 25th, Mahafzah emphasized the profound influence of educators in shaping awareness, instilling values, and fostering a sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation and its leadership.
Mahafzah conveyed his sincere appreciation for the dedication and unwavering commitment of teachers in fulfilling their noble mission, serving students, and contributing to the development of capable Jordanian citizens poised to shape their futures with confidence and competence.
The minister affirmed the government's firm belief that genuine investment begins with teachers, asserting that the quality of education is intrinsically linked to their professional standing, stability, and support.
Highlighting the government's commitment to supporting educators, Mahafzah outlined a series of measures, including facilitating access to affordable housing through subsidized land allocation, expediting emergency loans, increasing scholarships for teachers' children in higher education, doubling the number of teachers included in the Hajj pilgrimage, expanding professional development programs, and improving school infrastructure.
