Jordan and WHO Discuss Healthcare Priorities Amid Gaza Concerns

AMMAN - Jordan's King Abdullah II met with World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Wednesday to discuss national and regional health priorities, as well as humanitarian aid for Gaza.

During the meeting at Basman Palace, attended by Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, King Abdullah emphasized the importance of expanding the partnership between Jordan and the WHO to better address national health objectives and improve responses to health challenges.

The King expressed his appreciation for the WHO's support of various health programs in Jordan.

Discussions also focused on regional developments, with King Abdullah stressing the need to intensify international efforts to deliver humanitarian aid and medical supplies to Gaza without restrictions.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Minister of Health Ibrahim Al-Badour.
