AMMAN - Jordan's Independent Election Commission (IEC) has published updated voter registration lists on its website, according to an announcement Wednesday.
The updated rolls, reflecting permanent residency status as of December 31, are in compliance with the 2022 parliamentary election law and its amendments, as well as the electoral district division regulations.
The IEC coordinated with the Civil Status and Passports Department to ensure the accuracy of the voter lists.
Article 7 (A-2) of the 2022 parliamentary election law mandates the IEC to update voter lists in coordination with the Civil Status and Passports Department at the beginning of January and July each year, in accordance with the election law and its implementing instructions.
The IEC has encouraged voters to check their electoral district information by visiting the commission's website.
