JERUSALEM - The Israeli military said Monday that it had detected missiles launched from Iran towards Israel.
In a statement, the military said that air defense systems were currently working to intercept the incoming threat. It noted that the Home Front Command had issued a preemptive alert in recent minutes, sent directly to mobile phones in the affected areas.
The military urged the public to adhere to the instructions issued, immediately enter shelters or fortified areas, and remain there until further notice.
It stressed that leaving the fortified location is not permitted until explicit instructions are received. It also emphasized the need to continue following the directives of the Home Front Command.
