AMMAN - The Jordanian Air Force is conducting routine flights over several areas of the Kingdom, the military said, amid heightened regional tensions. The flights are part of ongoing efforts to maintain the security of Jordanian airspace.
A military source within the Jordan Armed Forces General Command confirmed that the sounds heard in the skies over several regions of the Kingdom are from Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft.
The source explained that these flights are part of regular operational duties, including reconnaissance and aerial surveillance, aimed at safeguarding Jordanian airspace and preventing any unauthorized intrusions or illegal activities.
The Jordan Armed Forces affirmed its commitment to protecting the Kingdom's skies and preserving its sovereignty with efficiency and competence. The military also urged citizens to refrain from spreading rumors and to obtain information from official sources only.
The routine flights come as regional tensions remain high, with Jordan playing a key role in maintaining stability in the area.
