Jordan Intercepts Ballistic Missiles, Heightens Security Amid Regional Tensions

Jordan's military intercepted two ballistic missiles targeting its territory, the government announced, as regional tensions escalate. While some debris landed in scattered locations within the kingdom, authorities are addressing the situation.

Government spokesman Mohammad Al-Momani stressed that protecting the nation's security and the safety of its citizens remains the top priority. He assured the public that the armed forces are prepared to deal with any emergency and have deployed units to counter any attempts to threaten the kingdom's stability.

Al-Momani urged citizens to adhere to safety guidelines issued by security agencies and to avoid spreading rumors or unverified information, instead relying on official sources for updates.

The Jordanian military has implemented necessary measures to reinforce units stationed along the borders and has activated military cooperation mechanisms with allied nations, Al-Momani added.

Regarding travel, Al-Momani advised passengers to directly contact airlines to confirm flight schedules before heading to the airport, anticipating potential disruptions to air traffic.
