Jordan's U-20 national football team triumphed over their Singaporean counterparts with a 2-0 victory in a friendly match held Friday at the Singapore Football Association stadium.
The match was part of a training camp in preparation for upcoming competitions.
Abdul Rahman Al-Zaghaibeh scored both goals for the Jordanian team in the 54th and 68th minutes.
The Jordanian team showcased a strong performance from the beginning of the match, maintaining noticeable control of the game and creating several scoring opportunities. However, the Singaporean defense initially proved difficult to penetrate.
The second half saw increased offensive pressure from the Jordanian side. Al-Zaghaibeh successfully converted a penalty kick to open the scoring. He then added a second goal, solidifying Jordan's lead.
The remaining minutes of the match saw further attempts to extend the lead, but the score remained 2-0 in favor of Jordan.
The two teams are scheduled to meet again in a friendly match on Monday afternoon at the same venue.
The training camp is being held ahead of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Youth Championship next month in Kuwait, where Jordan will compete in Group B alongside Syria, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates.
