Jordan's King Abdullah II has called for decisive international action to de-escalate tensions in the region, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to restoring stability.
During a phone call on Sunday with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, King Abdullah discussed avenues for achieving a broad de-escalation in the region, highlighting the critical importance of collaborative efforts to address escalating conflicts.
King Abdullah condemned attacks on Jordanian territory and other Arab nations, warning of the repercussions of these aggressions on regional security and stability. He stressed that the current regional developments necessitate a proactive response from the international community to mitigate further escalation.
Starmer, on his part, denounced the Iranian attacks on Jordan and other Arab countries that are partners of the United Kingdom in the region. He expressed the UK's solidarity with Jordan and these nations, affirming Britain's support in the face of these challenges.
