QatarEnergy has suspended production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and related products following military attacks on facilities in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed, the company announced Monday.
The halt in production sent European gas prices soaring, with an increase of more than 30%.
In a press statement, QatarEnergy stated that due to a military attack on its operational facilities in the industrial cities of Ras Laffan and Mesaieed, it has stopped LNG and related products production.
