Irbid, Jordan – Al-Hussein secured a commanding 2-0 victory against Al-Wehdat in a high-stakes Jordan Pro League match held at Al-Hassan Stadium, solidifying their lead in the league standings.
The win, achieved during the sixteenth week of competition, propels Al-Hussein to 34 points, maintaining their top position. Al-Wehdat, with this defeat, remains at 30 points, currently holding fourth place in the league.
Ashley Koffi initiated the scoring for Al-Hussein in the 34th minute, providing the team with a crucial first-half lead. Later in the match, Mohammed Abu Ghosh extended Al-Hussein's advantage by scoring the second goal in the 80th minute, effectively sealing the victory.
It is worth noting that both Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein each have a postponed match, the rescheduling of which is yet to be determined.
